- The number in the Minesweeper cell indicates the number of mines in eight adjacent tiles (side, diagonal, top and bottom).
Analyze the number of neighboring cells, a cell with a mine must meet the conditions of all surrounding values.
Flag suspected mined tiles with flags by right-clicking. Please note that each number near the flag must confirm your assumption.
Enabling the “I’m not sure” preference option will add a “?” set by double-clicking the right mouse button on an empty cell.
Repeat the steps until you have cleared the entire field. The number of mines remaining is displayed in the upper left corner of the screen. Game time is on the right. The timer starts on the first click and does not affect the duration of the game. This is your personal benchmark for improving your run time.
How to win at Minesweeper without cheating

Clicking with the wheel or both mouse buttons on a numbered cell will open all neighboring cells if the number of flags on them matches the number of mines. This brings certain conveniences and speeds up the passage of the game.
Despite the fact that Minesweeper is an old game with a relatively simple game design, it is deservedly considered one of the best mind-boosting logic puzzles. Players simply do not know what lies under the tile until they analyze the safety of opening neighboring ones. This mechanic creates a strategy game that makes each turn more interesting and exciting.
