Mancala is a very ancient game – much older than card solitaire, mahjong and chess. She is credited with Sumerian roots, kinship with the rites of African peoples and effectiveness in training mathematical abilities! Now you can play Mancala online for two and against the computer. We will tell the rules and provide an opponent – a computer. This will help you concentrate and improve your memory.
To play Mancala you need two people, a two-panel board with six holes (houses). Large holes at the ends are called mancala – this is a kind of bank. Playing elements are small pebbles. Their color does not matter, only the quantity matters.
How to play Mancala online
The goal is to collect as many gems as possible in your mancala (on the right side of the board). You can only move stones from the small cups on your side of the board.
You need to take all the precious stones, distribute one counterclockwise to each house and to your mancala, bypassing the opponent’s large bowl.
If the move stops at your mancala, take another move in the opposite direction.
If the move stops at your empty house, and the opposite bowl is on the side of the enemy with stones, take the contents of both.
The game ends when one of the sides is emptied and all the loot is in the winner’s mancala with the most stones.
