Have fun with the interesting Get the Word game if you like puzzles or the fame of a cryptographer spy does not give you rest. Using hints, try to find out the hidden word of 4, 5 or 6 letters. Can you guess the answer in six tries?
Welcome to the Get the Word game online – play free and without player registration. Your task is to guess words by letters, based on exceptions and hints. Learn soon how to play from the description below and enjoy another version of the Wordle game.
How to play Get the Word
The basic keyboard is located at the bottom of the screen. Just above it are six identical scoreboards with spaces instead of letters. Tap the virtual keys to enter a suitable word and click the “Enter” arrow to confirm the input.
If the word you are looking for contains some of the letters from the player’s answer, they will be displayed on the scoreboard in a certain way. A green background means that the letter and its location in the word have been guessed. Yellow means that there is a letter in the word, but in a different position.
The game shades unnecessary letters on the virtual keyboard, allowing you to exclude them from the search. However, the ban is not an ultimatum. Use the wrong letters in an obviously wrong new answer if you see no other options. Maybe they will help you uncover more clues?
The Get the Word game plays off your brain’s ability to analyze by presenting a certain number of letters as the starting point of a search. When the player enters the first guess, the probability of guessing the word is minimal. But with each attempt, the pool of clues grows in the form of guessed and unmatched letters.
Features of the game Get the Word
The rules of Get the Word are similar to Wordle, a browser-based guessing game of the word of the day by letters. The difference of this online version is the possibility to choose the mode: the usual five-letter game (as in the original), easy four-letter game or difficult six-letter game. Instead of a single game, many levels are offered.
The word you’re looking for is random, it can be a singular noun, but it doesn’t have to be. You can always figure it out by elimination. The only reason to reject an answer is “no such word exists”. The rest is fine. There are absolutely crazy variants, including proper names, numerals, adjectives, adverbs, and abbreviations.
If you enjoyed this guessing game, practice more often to expand your vocabulary and develop valuable skills like analytical ability, multitasking, and concentration. And if you’re looking for more fun word puzzles, be sure to check out Outspell, Hangman, and Crocword.
