How to play Four Square online
Players take turns filling cells on the game board with their colored stones in an attempt to be the first to form a 2×2 group. Click on a cell to add a stone of your color. You earn points when you create a blue square in combination with the filled tiles of neighboring cells. In theory, you can occupy the field up to 25 times, but in a turn-based battle, each player tries to block their opponent’s moves. Therefore, as the game progresses, it becomes more interesting and challenging.
Think back to your best experience playing tic-tac-toe, and apply that strategy to this game — place your pieces while considering your opponent’s moves to create your square. At the beginning of the game, the 100-cell field is empty. Clicking on any position fills the cell with your color or your opponent’s color when they move. Your opponent watches your progress and tries to prevent you from succeeding. If you outsmart your opponent first, you earn 5 points.
