  • Cards

The newest online Forty Thieves Solitaire belongs to the category of difficult but interesting. This is a good game to instill confidence in your own mind. Because success depends on luck to the least degree. The key to success in 40 Thieves Solitaire is planning and patient analysis.

Rules of the game

The layout of Forty Thieves Solitaire is built on 40 cards of a doubled deck. The goal is to fill all the foundations of the bases by suit, starting from Aces to Kings. All cards are dealt face up into 10 stacks of 4 each. These cards are the same Forty Thieves that gave the solitaire its name. You can add another card only on top of the unlocked one, provided that the suit matches and the face value decreases. Thus, the Jack of Spades can only be covered by the ten of spades.

Only one card can be moved at a time, but if there are enough free columns of the playing field, the number can increase to a sequence of 2, 3, 4, and 5. second time.

Forty Thieves Solitaire Strategy

Decomposing solitaire is more difficult than other card games due to carry restrictions and sorting in stacks of the same suit.

A few tips to help circumvent the restrictions

  1. Empty columns are the most important element of Forty Thieves Solitaire. Because the length of the chain of cards for transfer and the ability to unlock the desired card depend on the amount of empty space.
  2. Try to play low-ranked cards first to unload the playing field as much as possible.
  3. Occupy empty cells with Kings to build suit sequences on them and unlock cards standing in a pile above them.
  4. Avoid locking lower rank cards in the waste pile.
  5. Do not play a stock card if the same value is already on the game board.

The history of Forty Thieves Solitaire dates back to the early 19th century, when the game, along with Algerian Patience Solitaire, was a favorite pastime in fashionable parlors. Today card solitaire is known under several names: Le Cardan, Napoleon at St Helena, Big Forty.
