Everyone knows that Fire and Water don’t mix when playing 2-player traps in elemental temples. The main thing is to send a beam of light into mirrors in time, pull blocks or deftly jump over obstacles – each of the 4 previous games offered a special type of obstacles and ways to get through. But the new part of the game FireBoy and WaterGirl 5 Elements allows you to play with the whole arsenal at once.
Like the predecessors of the game, FireBoy and WaterGirl 5 Elements is a 2-player adventure: 2 little people have their own controls and can move independently of each other. Therefore, most levels can be completed by one person if both Fire and Water are played in turn.
The common goal for the boy and girl is to simultaneously step into the named portal with a supply of red and blue stones. The amount of loot and the speed of the game will affect the score and the successful opening of the door of the next Temple.
The level map provides seven game modes with quick access to different stages. This means that at the same time the player has access to several puzzles based on light and darkness, confrontation with ice, forest, air, crystals, fire and water.
Features of FireBoy and WaterGirl 5 Elements
Unlike its predecessors, this version is only available in HTML5 – you can play online without a flash player. The basics of the gameplay are familiar to fans of the series: Fireboy and Watergirl can go through the traps of their own elements, but evaporate when they touch the opposite ones.
The new 60 levels of the game are very diverse. Familiar elements from previous versions of the puzzle are combined with new ones. But if you haven’t tried FireBoy and WaterGirl before, start with the basic’s tutorial levels. Characters get special skills, so the elements of mutual assistance become more complicated. For example: In previous versions of FireBoy and WaterGirl, one player must stand on a pressure-sensitive button to allow the other to pass through unhindered.
Now Fire and Water can manifest unique properties. For example: the control lever requires the ability to accelerate on an ice platform (only available to the boy Fire) or climb steep walls (Water skill).
The Temple of Light stage features dark play levels, where Fire and Water are illuminated with a faint glow to warn each other of the dangers of adjacent platforms.
The Temple of Ice requires careful manipulation of the light sensitive switches. There are even special movable blocks with mirrors to reflect the rays.
