Rules of the game Catch the Dot
The player’s goal is to surround the fugitive with a ring of yellow circles, while the computer opponent tries to slip over the edge. The playing field consists of round cells of different colors: white indicates a free passage, and orange – blocks of obstacles.
Everyone takes turns playing: a player chooses an area to place a block anywhere on the field by clicking the cursor. The AI opponent tends to scoot off the edge of the map and can advance to one of the neighboring positions. The player wins when a point is blocked.
The logical solution to the problem of catching an object is to limit the possibility of escape as much as possible. And it is up to you to plan, if you take into account the non-obvious patterns of the puzzle:
- the opponent’s move to the side with the minimum number of moves to the edge is most likely;
- it’s advantageous to create an environment using existing starting points;
- it is better to make the trap as spacious as possible.
