New to the card games section is Agnes Solitaire, a Klondike-style online game with seven reserves. If you’re familiar with the layout of Microsoft’s Klondike, you’ll appreciate this game for its ability to control the reserves more freely and see the entire layout at once.
You’ll love playing Agnes Solitaire online if you’re looking for a fun mind game that requires no preparation or prior knowledge of the rules. Try to sort the cards in ascending suit from the initial rank and above to collect the entire deck on four stacks.
The classic card game Agnes has a very long history of popularity. It was first mentioned in English sources in 1909, just before the famous Klondike Solitaire from the USA. In 1949, a new way of sorting cards in descending order with alternating suits was described. The game with more variations is faster to solve and usually ends with a win in every third arrangement.
Card game researcher Parlett, in his 1979 edition, renamed both variations of the game in honor of famous historical figures named Agnes. The game presented here follows the rules of the canonical Agnes Solitaire, also known as Agnes Bernauer Solitaire. The complex game (with a one-suit formation on the table) is called Agnes Sorel Solitaire.

Card Layout
From the standard deck, 28 cards are arranged to form a triangular board with seven columns. Sequences are built in descending order of rank, alternating colors.
Before the start of each game, a random card is placed on the first base to determine the starting rank (queen in the picture). The rest of the cards are placed in the reserve. Each click on the reserve deck generates seven new cards until the reserve is exhausted.
How to play Solitaire Agnes online
The object of the game is to place all the cards in four stacks or bases, starting from the rank suggested by the game. Only the open cards of the reserve and the game table are free.
It is allowed to move to any pile if the sequence of descending ranks with an alternate suit color is lined up. When sorting, you can carry both a card and the sequence you have built. If a column of the board is empty, you can fill it with any card.
If you liked this game and want to see it in another realization, we recommend Agnes Bernauer Solitaire. If you want more of a challenge, try playing Agnes Sorel Solitaire for free and without registration. The layout strategy is similar, but playing with a one-max sort will require more mental effort on your part. General tips for winning at Agnes Solitaire: Keep an eye on the reserve piles so that you don’t block the cards you need on the next deal.
